Known for their universally flattering fit, vivid color palettes, and eclectic mix of bold prints, designer duo behind Luli Fama, Lourdes “Luli” Hanimian and Augusto Hanimian, proved to embrace the high end swim brand’s “cosmopolitan culture and Latin influence” in their Spring/Summer 2015 collection shown at this year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Miami. Opening with a lively performance of dancers and junkanoo-inspired stilt walkers, Luli Fama introduced their equally vibrant collection of bikinis, monokinis, and wide array of cover-ups in a high-energy runaway show “inspired by the engaging rhythms of the Caribbean and the electric nightlife of South Beach.”
A stimulating assortment of colorful bikinis, tropical cover-ups, and glimmering fabrics, “all garments offer an effortless transition from beach to boardwalk, day to night, with comfort and ease.” In the collection you can find mix and matched striking solids with eye-catching prints, festive daytime crochet tops, and seductive halter jumpsuits that well reflect the Miami beach lifestyle of Luli herself.
Sophisticated silhouettes and intricate embellishments portray the artful minded designs of the two creative forces behind Luli Fama. Gold hardware and faceted glass beads adorn the contemporary pieces, offering one-of-a-kind looks. Knotted nets, braiding, and tassels give beauty to the unique swim and resort wear.
Keeping to their rank of being a “celebrity-favored brand,” Luli Fama’s front row celebrities include LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian, Real Housewives of Miami star, Lisa and her husband Dr. Lenny Hochstein, and Miami Heat player Shabazz Napier.
